     Principal's Message    

   Patsy Thompson-Horst is the new counselor for Homestead Elementary School. Although Patsy is a native Tennessean, she has spent the past 20 years in Atlanta, Georgia and eight years in Corvallis, Oregon (home of the Oregon State Beavers).
   She began her career in education in 1979 in Atlanta, Georgia.  She has taught second through fifth grade students most of her career.
   Patsy is married to Pat Horst and they have two furry pets names Rascal (Yello Lab) and Rufus (Chinese Shar-Pei).  The Horst' Family loves to travel and spend time with loved ones.

I'm a "new" teacher at Homestead with 14 years of teaching experience. I'm married to a cowboy named Joe and we have a fifth-grader named Austin.   I love being in third grade!

Fourth Grade

Hi, my name is Amanda Baldwin. This is my first year at Homestead
Elementary. I am so thankful to be here teaching the fourth grade.

This is my first year at Homestead and I am thrilled to be here. I am a mother of two wonderful boys who also attend school here at Homestead. My fourth grade class and I are looking forward to an exciting year of learning and friendship!

Fifth Grade

To cultivate a child's mind, that it might be sharp and bright, is the most important job in the world, and it shouldn't be taken lightly. I am proud to be a teacher of 22 years.
